Eligibility
Only retired Pakistan Railways employees who have worked in the category applied for are eligible. Selected retired employees must pass a medical fitness examination at a Pakistan Railways hospital only. Those who were compulsorily removed, dismissed, or retired on medical grounds are not eligible.
Age limit: Maximum 62 years

TXR/G-III (Carriage & Wagon) — DAE Mechanical; Experience: 20 years in the rolling stock repair and maintenance field.
Foreman/Gr-I (Carriage & Wagon) — DAE Mechanical; Experience: 20 years in the rolling stock repair and maintenance field.
TXR/Gr-II (Carriage & Wagon) — DAE Mechanical; Experience: 10 years in the relevant field.
Sub Engineer-II / Senior Chargeman (Carriage & Wagon) — DAE Mechanical; Experience: 10 years in the relevant field.
Mistry (Carriage & Wagon) — Middle; Experience: 10 years in the relevant field.
Skilled — C&W Fitter, Coach Builder, Welder — Middle; Experience: 10 years in the relevant field.

How to apply
Send a typed application with a complete database and attested copies of the required testimonials, together with a postal order for Rs. 500, to the Chief Personnel Officer, Pakistan Railways, Headquarters Office, Empress Road, Lahore, to arrive no later than 15 October 2026. No application is considered without the processing fee.
Documents to attach: all educational certificates, National Identity Card (computerised), Railway retired identity card or experience certificate, photocopy of PPO, photocopy of LPC, service certificate, three fresh passport size photographs, three postal envelopes with RAD card, address and mobile number

Note: The contract is for one year and may be extended for one further year if required. Selected retired employees draw salary in BS-06, BS-09, BS-11, BS-12 or BS-14 according to their last pay drawn, with the usual allowances, but are not entitled to any distribution towards gratuity or pension. They may be posted anywhere in the entire railway system. No TA/DA is paid for interview or medical examination. The competent authority may reject any application without assigning a reason and the number of posts may change.
