Eligibility

Each post carries its own eligibility criteria, shown against it below. Foreign degree holders must provide an HEC equivalence certificate with the application form, and only degrees from HEC-recognised universities and degree-awarding institutions are considered. Candidates serving in government, semi-government or autonomous bodies must apply through proper channel and produce a Departmental Permission Certificate or NOC with the hard copy of the application. Experience in private entities is accepted only where the entity is registered with the SECP, the Registrar of Firms or another regulatory authority. For non-teaching posts only Punjab domicile applications are entertained.
Age limit: 18 to 35 years depending on the post. Relaxation in the upper age limit may be granted as per Government of Punjab rules.
Quota: 15% of total posts are reserved for women under Government of Punjab notification No.SOR-IV(S&GAD)15-1/2012 dated 21.05.2012, and 5% for minorities (non-Muslims) under notification No.SOR-III(S&GAD)1-35/93 dated 27.03.2010. The disabled persons, minorities and women quotas are observed as per rules; an applicant aspiring to a quota must submit a separate application clearly mentioning it.
By post:
Assistant — Master's degree or BS (second division) in any discipline from an HEC-recognised institute or university, and five years post-qualification experience of Microsoft Office; Age: 21-35 years.
Accountant — B.Com (second division) or equivalent from an HEC-recognised institute or university; Age: 18-30 years.
Caretaker — Bachelor's degree (second division) or equivalent from an HEC-recognised university; Age: 18-30 years.
Electrician — Higher Secondary School Certificate (second division) from a recognised board with a three-year DAE in Electrical or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institute, and two years post-qualification relevant experience; Age: 18-30 years.
Junior Clerk — Higher Secondary School Certificate (second division) from a recognised board, twenty-five words per minute typing speed on computer in English, and proficiency in MS Office or any other compatible office application; Age: 18-30 years.
Qari — Secondary School Certificate (second division) from a recognised board, Hifz-e-Quran with Tajweed from a recognised madrassah, and proficiency in Qirat; Age: 18-30 years.
Junior Storekeeper — Secondary School Certificate (second division) from a recognised board and twenty-five words per minute typing speed on computer; Age: 18-30 years.
Cook — Secondary School Certificate (second division) or equivalent from a recognised board and two years post-qualification relevant experience; Age: 18-30 years.
Library Attendant — Secondary School Certificate (second division) or equivalent from a recognised board and a certificate in Library Science; Age: 18-30 years.
Bus Driver — Secondary School Certificate (second division) from a recognised board, a valid heavy transport vehicle and public service vehicle driving licence, and five years post-qualification driving experience; Age: 18-30 years.
Driver (LTV) — Secondary School Certificate (second division) from a recognised board, a valid light transport vehicle and public service vehicle driving licence, and five years post-qualification driving experience; Age: 18-30 years.
Computer Lab Attendant — Secondary School Certificate (second division) with Computer Science from a recognised board; Age: 18-25 years.
Junior Lab Attendant — Secondary School Certificate (second division) or equivalent from a recognised board; Age: 18-25 years.
Guest House Attendant — Secondary School Certificate (second division) or equivalent from a recognised board; Age: 18-25 years.

How to apply

Apply online through the university job portal at https://careers.umw.edu.pk on or before 13 October 2026. You must also send a signed hard copy of the application form by courier, with two recent passport-size photographs and attested copies of CNIC, domicile and all educational documents (transcripts, certificates and experience certificates), on or before 16 October 2026 to the Office of the Registrar, University of Mianwali.
Fee: An original bank draft in favour of the Treasurer, University of Mianwali: Rs. 2,500 for BS-16, Rs. 2,000 for BS-14 and BS-15, and Rs. 1,500 for BS-01 to BS-11, on or before 13 October 2026. Applications without the full fee bank draft are not entertained. The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Test or interview: Where required by the service rules or statutes, a written, typing or screening test may be conducted for all eligible candidates. In accordance with the university's approved recruitment policy, test marks are not included in the initial or final merit list.

Incomplete applications, applications without the processing fee, and applications received after the due date — even if dispatched through courier — are not accepted. Candidates whose result is not officially announced by the Controller of Examination on or before the closing date are not considered. Only shortlisted candidates are called for interview and no TA/DA is admissible.
