Eligibility
Each post carries its own qualification and experience, shown against it below. All appointments are on a contract basis.
Age limit: Up to 45 years for most posts; up to 35 years for Canteen Man. Relaxation in the age limit is given for outstanding candidates.
By post:
DGM (Quality Control) — BE in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Metallurgy, Materials or Naval Architecture, PEC-registered; Experience: 10-20 years in steel construction, fabrication, shipbuilding or a heavy engineering setup. Knowledge of QC standards and General Class Rules for shipbuilding preferred.; Age: Up to 45 years.
Manager (Projects) — BE in Mechanical, Marine or Industrial Engineering from an HEC-recognised university, PEC-registered; Experience: 8-10 years in ship repair, marine engineering, heavy industrial maintenance or multi-disciplinary project execution, with at least 4-5 years in a project management leadership role. PMP and Primavera or MS Office certification preferred.; Age: Up to 45 years.
Deputy Manager (Ship Design) — BE/BS/B.Sc Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Naval Architecture from an HEC-recognised university; Experience: 5 years, able to read technical drawings and manuals and advise improvements. Proficient in ERP, CAD engineering software and MS Office.; Age: Up to 45 years.
Deputy Manager (SB Maintenance) — BE/B.Sc in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical or Electronics from an HEC-recognised university, PEC-registered; Experience: At least 5 years installing or maintaining industrial, marine, manufacturing or heavy engineering setups. Strong knowledge of automation and industrial controls, mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatic pumps, gearboxes, engines and compressors. Knowledge of CMMS, PMS, maintenance tools and safety procedures.; Age: Up to 45 years.
Supervisor (Ship Design) — DAE in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics or equivalent; Experience: 5-7 years in design and drafting in the engineering industry. Able to interpret engineering drawings. Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office.; Age: Up to 45 years.
Office Assistant — Graduation from an HEC-recognised university; Experience: At least 3-4 years in a relevant field. Proficiency in MS Office with a good typing speed preferred.; Age: Up to 45 years.
Chef — Middle or Matric; Experience: At least 3 years in a relevant field; Age: Up to 45 years.
Canteen Man — Middle or Matric; Experience: At least 2-3 years in a relevant field; Age: Up to 35 years.
Driver — Middle or Matric; Experience: 2-3 years driving with a valid LTV licence; Age: Up to 45 years.
CO2 Welder — Matric, Middle or Primary; Experience: 2 years of practical CO2 welding, preferably in heavy engineering; Age: Up to 45 years.
Painter — Matric, Middle or Primary; Experience: 2 years of practical painting, surface preparation and application of primer, paint and protective coatings; Age: Up to 45 years.
Fitter — Matric, Middle or Primary; Experience: 2 years of practical fitting, assembly and auxiliary machinery and pumps; Age: Up to 45 years.
Khallasi — Matric, Middle or Primary; Experience: 2 years of practical rigging, lifting, shifting and positioning of heavy equipment; Age: Up to 45 years.
